Austin’s Very Best Communities
Austin has been regarded as one of the hottest cities for residential real estate in the year ahead, so expect to have interest in apartments in Austin, TX, to keep on being high in the year ahead. Real estate prices also display no indications of backing down.
South Congress – This neighborhood is so hip it’s white hot. The trendy mix of great dining places and food stands, art booths and galleries, new and used apparel stores, and home design shops in South Congress (SoCo) is part of the fascination, as is the proximity to downtown Austin in addition to local parks, jogging trails and much more. A lot of single family homes here, and some multi-family apartments are already constructed. Duplexes and condo properties also are close by.
West Austin – Between the University of Texas and Lake Austin, it is deemed an opulent neighborhood with high priced homes. It’s wonderful, though, so if you can afford to pay extra for it, go for it! You might even land a lakeside property with your own personal dock for your boat or Jet Ski.
Barton Creek – This country club spot has lots of luxurious apartment home complexes. If you wish to be in the middle of rolling hills and a bit removed from the big city, this can be a great enjoyable neighborhood with golf nearby.
Hyde Park – This historic district was once home to some of the most remarkable homes in Austin. Later it became more working class. Hyde Park is thought to be Austin’s first suburb. Mostly single family residences here, although there are some duplexes.
South Lamar – If you’d like to meet up with the trendy kids, this is the neighborhood for you. South Lamar is an Austin street with all sorts of great dining and entertainment options, including an Alamo Drafthouse along with the uber hip Highball bowling alley and bar. At the rear of the main drag are local neighborhoods with Austin apartments of all styles. A best choice if you’re 20 to 40 years old and single and SoCo just isn’t your scene.
